A good brand sticker does more than fill an empty space. It helps customers recognise your business, makes simple packaging feel considered and gives every parcel a consistent finishing touch. The best results usually begin with a clear purpose and a design that still works at the final printed size.

Start with one job for the sticker

Decide where the sticker will be used before opening your design software. A small logo seal for tissue paper needs a different layout from a product label carrying ingredients or a larger sticker handed out at an event. When one sticker tries to do every job, the important information becomes difficult to read.

    • Brand seal: logo or symbol with minimal copy
    • Product label: product name and essential information
    • Thank-you sticker: a short message that feels personal
    • Promotional sticker: a memorable design customers may keep

    Build a simple visual hierarchy

Choose the first thing a customer should notice, then make supporting information clearly smaller. Use one or two typefaces, strong contrast and enough open space around the logo. Fine lines and tiny lettering may look elegant on a laptop but can lose clarity when reduced to a small sticker.

    • Test the design at actual print size
    • Keep important text away from the cutting edge
    • Use high-contrast colours for essential information
    • Avoid stretching a low-resolution logo

Choose shape, material and finish together

A shape should support the artwork rather than force it into an awkward frame. Circles work well for seals, rectangles give product information more room, and Kiss-Cut designs can follow a distinctive outline while remaining easy to peel. Material and finish should suit the surface, handling and visual style of the package.

    Check the complete brand system

Place a printout of the design on your pouch, bottle, jar or box before ordering. Check it in normal room light and ask someone unfamiliar with the brand what they notice first. A final review of spelling, contact details, colour contrast and size prevents avoidable revisions.

    • Use the same logo version across products
    • Keep brand colours consistent
    • Confirm every phone number, handle and URL
    • Save an editable master file for future sizes
